In 2016, the Raspberry Pi Foundation released the Raspberry Pi 3B, a leap to 64-bit. The new model includes a 64-bit quad-core ARMv8 processor running at 1.2GHz, as well as support for 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, and the ability to boot from a USB port instead of the built-in micro-SD card slot. On March 14, 2018, the Raspberry Pi 3B+ launched with a faster 1.4GHz processor, faster Ethernet, and dual-band Wi-Fi, and the Raspberry Pi Foundation promises to remain in production until at least January 2026 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation Raspberry Pi.
The current latest model is the Raspberry Pi 4, which was released in June 2019 and is a significant improvement over the Raspberry Pi 3.
